Southborough, MA – The Southborough Economic Development Committee (Southborough EDC) has launched an integrated, user-friendly website to help strengthen and support its growing business community. Home to a robust and growing economy of over 430 companies with 7,400 employees, the Town of Southborough established the website to tout the Town’s advantages for business growth – www.SouthboroughEDC.com.
The Southborough EDC was established by the Board of Selectmen in 2013 to enhance the Town’s business community and its partnership with the Town and its residents. The Southborough EDC’s mission is to retain and attract businesses to expand and strengthen Southborough’s commercial tax base while preserving the character and charm of the Town for its residents.
The new website follows the Committee’s ongoing outreach efforts, which included the publication of a new Business Development Guide and hosting the Town’s first ever Economic Development Summit in November tagged “Southborough 2040.” The website, developed by the Southborough EDC and PENTA Communications, Inc. of Westborough, boasts the Town’s outstanding track record of economic and job growth, identifies available commercial properties, and gathers information and resources for individuals and companies looking to locate or expand in Southborough.
According to the Chairman of the Southborough EDC, David McCay, a real estate and environmental attorney at Mirick O’Connell, “Southborough offers the best of all worlds – small town, rural charm, great amenities, a thriving local economy, and an outstanding central location with easy access to Boston and Worcester. The new website is another vehicle to tell that story and help Southborough businesses grow and prosper.”
