SOUTHBOROUGH — The town is considering hiring an economic development coordinator.
On Tuesday night, selectmen and David McCay, chairman of the town’s Economic Development Committee, discussed the need for the position.
McCay recommended a budget of $16,000 for mostly promotional materials, a website and possible seminars and conferences. McCay said the board would like a staff person long term, but did not include one in next year’s budget.
Selectman John Rooney suggested bringing the position to Town Meeting for vote.
